Aaron always loved taking part in the Kids Run and last participated in the Kids Run in 2013. Aaron’s mother, Cecilia O’Flaherty, says she was honoured that the Kids Run took take place in Aaron’s memory. “I’m really touched that this year’s event will be held in his memory. As a Civil Defence Officer in Limerick, I have worked at every single Great Limerick Run weekend. The Barrington’s Hospital Great Limerick Run and Aaron’s anniversary will always be linked for me now, as I was not long home from last year’s event when I got the call about his accident. So I’m extremely grateful to the organisers for doing this for Aaron and I hope the event will be well supported by children and their parents,” Cecilia said. “I’m extremely grateful to the organisers for doing this for Aaron’’ she added.
